MARSH ENGLE
Founder
Marsh Engle is no stranger to
overcoming obstacles. As a successful Hollywood marketer, she found business success just
as she faced the menacing challenge of a life threatening diagnose; the sudden, unexpected
death of her mother; and, the passing of her father a year later. She gave up her
lucrative career and with an eye toward spiritual, Marsh was able to triumph over her
disease and create the Amazing Woman's Day movement that is assisting people everywhere to
celebrate their personal empowerment.
Engle formed Our Voice
Foundation, a non-profit organization that in March 2001 established Amazing Woman Amazing
World Day, a movement through which all people everywhere are invited to join in a day of
global unity to encourage a sense of honor, express a shared concern for the well-being of
others, and create a foundation for inspired action.
In March 2002 a Congressional
Proclamation recognized Amazing Woman-Amazing World Day as a nationwide movement held
annually in the second week of March, the month established as Women's History Month.
Her study of long-lost
traditions has taken Marsh to the remote temples of Mexico where she scaled the
Teotihuacan pyramids and explored the ancient ways with a Toltec Shaman; she's studied the
indigenous faith of the Japanese people, Shinto (the way of the Gods), a mythology that is
as old as the Japanese people themselves; and, she's journeyed deep into Native American
spiritual teachings in the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Her study of the actions and
attitudes of extraordinary people from all walks of life have taken her into the Fire
Houses of New York City where she captured the emotional memories of 9/11 through in depth
interviews with the fewer than 30 FDNY female firefighters; and, she's traveled from New
York City to Hollywood and cities in between to dig deep into the core emotion of highly
successful entrepreneurs, business leaders and entertainment executives.
The vivid and alluring
accounts she captures along her journeys are a spirited tribute to the people and places
she meets and are filled with an orientation for learning from all of life's experience.
With a remarkable synthesis of emotional awareness and wisdom of the everyday woman, Marsh
reveals an intimate view into the enduring qualities of self-honor and brings the benefit
of long-lost traditions to the forefront of our lives today. An Amazing Women book and
journal series written by Engle chronicles the people she encounters along her exploration
into the world of amazing women. The multi-book series, published by Jodere Group
(www.JodereGroup.com), began release in March 2002.
Prior to the launch of Our
Voice Foundation, Marsh Engle spent more than ten years crafting a solid expertise in
consumer promotions and marketing for entertainment studio names like Warner Bros.,
Paramount, Viacom, SONY and more. Her innovative concepts contributed to gold and platinum
music and video releases - television and box office movie hits - and, a multitude of
winning campaigns including the wildly successful introduction of Sesame Streets' ELMO for
The Children's Television Workshop and the Universal Pictures feature film, Babe.
The coast of Los Angeles,
California and the solitude of the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona serve as home and
inspiration to Marsh between travels.
