Vision

The vision of Our Voice is to create one powerful day on which women, youth and their families in countries everywhere join with millions of others throughout the world in hundreds of unique events that encourage self-honor, express a shared concern for the well-being of others, and create a foundation for inspired action.

Amazing World Day 2003

is established as a way for local, national, and international organizations to join as one in a day of global unity to:

MOBILIZE youth and adults to address and support a group of vital cause initiatives that serve the needs and well-being of their communities

INSPIRE action, mentorship, courage and purpose

EDUCATE the public about the role of women as community leaders by highlighting the contributions they make to their communities year-round

What

Amazing Woman Amazing World Day is an annual global event organized by Our Voice Foundation, together with a consortium of Service Organizations and a National Coordinating Committee.

the day celebrates and recognizes

the unique contributions made by women in the U.S. and throughout the global community for empowering youth and the well-being of others

encourages all girls, women and their families to honor their own strength, courage and purpose

How

Organizations that address the needs of women and youth are encouraged to plan community events, projects and gatherings on Amazing Woman Amazing World Day. Organizations may choose to highlight existing projects to the media and surrounding community, or may choose to organize special projects and events that involve the broader community on Amazing Woman Amazing World Day 2003.

At the national level, a National Coordinating Committee helps to promote Amazing Woman Amazing World Day 2003 through a network of organizations as well as to the media.

Amazing Woman Amazing World Day was first created by Our Voice Foundation a cross-cultural alliance committed to helping women, youth and their families to achieve sustained self-sufficiency, self-reliance and healthy self-esteem in all aspects of life.
